Filling machines can be classified in various ways. Based on the differences in filling principles, they can mainly be divided into atmospheric pressure filling machines, pressure filling machines, and vacuum filling machines.
Atmospheric pressure filling machines fill by relying on the weight of the liquid under atmospheric pressure. They are suitable for low-viscosity liquids without gas, such as milk, white spirits, and mineral water.
Pressure filling machines complete the filling process in an environment with pressure higher than atmospheric pressure. Among them, isobaric filling makes the pressure in the storage tank equal to that in the bottle, allowing the liquid to flow into the bottle by its own weight. The other type uses the pressure difference between the storage tank and the bottle to fill the liquid. They are suitable for liquids containing gas, such as beer, soda, and champagne.
Vacuum filling machines fill under conditions where the pressure inside the bottle is lower than atmospheric pressure. They have a wide range of adaptability to the viscosity of materials and can be used for oils, syrups, fruit wines, etc.
From the perspective of packaging materials, there are liquid filling machines, paste filling machines, powder filling machines, and granule filling machines.
According to the degree of production automation, they can be further classified into semi-automatic filling machines and fully automatic filling production lines.
